Montgomery County Police are looking for a Wheaton man whom they say killed a woman he was in a relationship with.
An arrest warrant for first-degree murder has been sworn out on Martire Puente-Fulcar, 31, for allegedly killing Marcello Rocio Nikaury, 37, county police said in a statement.
The charge cames after police were called to a residence the pair share with three children in the 2200 block of Georgian Way in Wheaton. They arrived at 3:31 a.m. on Saturday, after receiving a report of domestic abuse.
When officers arrived, they found Nikaury dead in the apartment complex’s stairwell. As detectives investigated, they say they found the pair were in a relationship.
It was not immediately clear who had responsibility for the children, said a spokesman for the Montgomery County Police Media Section who declined to give his name on Sept. 23, citing police policy.
“That we don't know,” he said. “That's still being investigated.”
Puente-Fulcar may be driving a black, late-model Ford Edge, with Maryland temporary tags number T558404.
Anyone with information regarding Fulcar’s whereabouts is asked to call the police’s Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. Anyone coming into contact with Fulcar is asked to call 911 immediately.
