A Riverdale man is under arrest for allegedly stalking a 13-year-old girl while she waited at her bus stop.
The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested Narciso Bonilla of the 6100 block of Kenilworth Avenue on Sept. 21 on charges of stalking and harassment.
Officers arrested the 33-year-old after setting up surveillance near the girl’s bus stop on Sept. 21 and witnessing him harass the girl, police said in a statement.
Police allege that over a multi-day period, Bonilla would watch the girl as she waited at the bus stop in the 5800 block of 58th Avenue in Riverdale.
“Bonilla would beep his horn and wave,” police said. “The suspect also approached the girl, tried to speak to her and on one occasion tried to give her a rose.”
One incident so alarmed the girl that she ran to a nearby fire station, police said.
Police were not releasing which fire station the girl fled to, said Cpl. Maria McKinney, a police spokeswoman.
Bonilla was released on bond on Sept. 21 and has an initial hearing scheduled for Oct. 29. No attorney was listed in online state court records and bond information was not immediately available.
