A suspect Prince George’s County police have charged for an Aug. 7 bank robbery in Bowie is being held in West Virginia for another bank robbery he allegedly committed.

County police allege Reginald Andre Taylor, 48, of the 2800 block of Langston Place in Washington, D.C., entered the Capital One Bank in Bowie around 9 a.m. disguised as a woman, wielded a handgun and demanded money. Investigators later identified Taylor as a suspect in the robbery and found he was being held in a West Virginia jail, county police said.

According to Jefferson County Magistrate Court records in West Virginia, Taylor was arrested by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies for another bank robbery Aug. 30 and charged with one count of felony bank robbery.

Prince George’s police said Taylor is awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County, where he faces charges stemming from the Aug. 7 incident, which include armed robbery and first-degree assault.

A defense attorney for Taylor was not listed with the courts Friday.
