Hood College will host an award-winning documentary about immigration on Sept. 20.

The film, “Which Way Home,” will be shown at 6:30 p.m. in the Hodson Auditorium in Rosenstock Hall on Hood’s campus in Frederick.

“Which Way Home” tells a story of immigration through the eyes of children travelling through Mexico on a freight train on their way to the United States.

Guest speakers will talk about their experiences after the film is shown.

The film’s showing is being sponsored by Hood’s Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and the Office of Multicultural Affairs and International Student Programs.

“Which Way Home” was nominated for an Academy Award for best feature documentary, and won an Emmy Award in 2010 for Outstanding Informational Programming and Imagen Award that year for Best Documentary on Television.
