Road cleanup planned in honor of slain Capitol Heights youth
Jacqueline Lawrence, mother of Rashad De’Eric Johnson who was shot and killed Oct. 15, 2003, in Capitol Heights, is planning a clean up from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Karen Boulevard and Walker Mill Road near the site of the Adopt-A-Road sign in Johnson’s memory.
Saturday marks what would have been Johnson’s 29th birthday. Johnson was gunned down in the 6800 block of Walker Mill Road and his murder is still unsolved, according to Lawrence. For more information, call 202-735-9383 or 202-803-0435.
