Montgomery County Public Schools Parent Academy begins two, long-term classes this week: one to help parents explore the MCPS website and online resources and the other to help parents of special education students advocate for their studentsí educational needs.
Computer Smart, part one of five, will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24 at Earle B. Wood Middle School, 14615 Bauer Drive, Rockville. The class will be facilitated by a technolgoy instructor from MCPS.
Special Education: Parents as Advocates and the Family-School Partnership, part one of four, will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24 at Neelsville Middle School, 11700 Neelsville Church Road, Germantown.
