Officers and staff from the Rockville City Police Department will play host to a community meeting Thursday to help residents get to know their local police officers.

The meeting is open to the public, and officers from animal control, community services, code enforcement, investigations, patrol units and traffic enforcement will be on-hand to answer questions.

“We are hoping to see a lot of our residents at these meetings,” Police Chief Terrance Treschuk said in a statement.

“It’s important to us that people see us out in the community, getting to know them and hearing firsthand what their concerns and questions are.”

The meeting will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Thomas Farm Community Center, 700 Fallsgrove Drive.
