Long guns and other property were stolen during a break-in at a home in the 3100 block of Port Tobacco Road in Nanjemoy sometime between Aug. 12 and Sept. 12, during which time the homeowner had been away, Charles County sheriff’s officers reported.

Officers canvassed the area for witnesses and processed the scene for evidence.

Cpl. J. Timko is investigating.
