Sections of Olde Towne will be closed from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday due to Celebrate Gaithersburg activities.

North and South Summit avenues, East Diamond Avenue and a portion of Olde Towne Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic. Expect increased pedestrian traffic between the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, next to Gaithersburg High School, and Olde Town.

The city of Gaithersburg is advising drivers to be alert for pedestrians in the area and consider alternative routes. Most of the festivities run from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday in the City Hall parking lot, City Hall concert pavilion, and on Diamond Avenue around the Victor Litz stage.

Free parking and a free shuttle will run from Lakeforest Mall to the festival. Alcohol, skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles and pets are prohibited at Celebrate Gaithersburg.
