Residents looking for training in the event of disaster and emergency situations can participate in Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, training scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday at 7911 Anchor St. in Landover.
The program educates residents about fire safety, triage and more.
“This training provides the opportunity to respond to any type of community disaster,” said event organizer Calvin Hawkins. “We have the fastest growing CERT program in the state of Maryland.”
