Berwyn Heights officials will open up Lake Artemesia as a new concert venue Sept. 22 with a performance by The Susan Jones Jazz Quartet.

The quartet is a longtime favorite for Berwyn Heights Day and features Berwyn Heights resident Susan Jones on jazz violin, Tom Jones on drums, Pete Fields on guitar and Bob Abbott on bass, said Berwyn Heights councilwoman Patricia Dennison.

Dennison said attendees can expect to hear a relaxing, pleasing and danceable mix of jazz and Latin music. The concert — from 2 to 3:30 p.m. — is free and the band will have CDs for purchase. Refreshments will also be provided.
