A man accused of threatening to kill two people inside a Clinton car repair shop has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.
Prince George’s County sheriff’s deputies said Andrea Charad Lee, 27, of Lusby, entered a repair shop in the 5600 block of Spring Street in Clinton Tuesday, when he displayed a handgun and demanded money from two individuals. Deputies said Lee then assaulted one of the victims with a pipe, stole $180 and threatened to kill both of them at gunpoint.
While investigating Lee’s whereabouts, deputies were contacted by a witness who reported that Lee was at a parole and probation office in Hyattsville and the deputies responded to the scene, where they apprehended him without incident Friday, according to the sheriff’s department.
Lee has been transported to the Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro and charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, armed robbery and use of a firearm to commit a crime, according to online county district court records.
A defense attorney for Lee was not listed with the courts Friday, according to online court records.
According to online records, Lee is set for a preliminary hearing for his criminal charges Sept. 28.
A phone number for Lee’s residence could not be located.
