Work by artists Maggie Gourlay and Eric Garner currently is on view to Aug. 31 at the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery, 603 Edmonston Drive, Rockville. Gourlay uses pattern and thread imagery to invoke home spaces, treading along the fault lines between comfort and confinement, while Garner's work reflects an interest in patterning and visual systems, with influences ranging from American quilts, Islamic arts, and African textiles to infrastructure design conventions.
