Residents of northern Prince Georgeís County made deanís lists at universities in the Spring 2012 semester.
Melissa J. Devlin of the 16000 block of Kenny Road in Laurel, made the list at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., as a senior majoring in mathematics. Classmates Alex S. Arciero of the 10000 block of Scaggsville Road in Laurel, a senior majoring in ocean engineering, Matthew R. Donnelly of the 9500 block of Kindswood Court in Laurel, a senior majoring in theatre arts, and Trevor W. Johnson of the 200 block of Cherry Hill Lane, a senior majoring in civil engineering, are also on the list.
Virginia Tech junior Kristin M. Hoover of the 10400 block of Rosemont Drive in Laurel made the deanís list while majoring in architecture.
Sophomores Patrick T. Cavanagh, of the 4600 block of Beechwood Road in College Park, a music major, and Victoria E. Myers of the 11100 block of Scaggsville Road in Laurel, an architecture major, both made the list as well.
Students earning a spot on the deanís list must have maintained a 3.4 grade point average and taken at least 12 credits worth of courses.
At the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy in Princess Anne, Laurel native Yongmu Huang of the 11200 block of Hickory Grove Court made the deanís list as a graduate student. Students in the top 10 percent of the student body qualify for the list.
