I’m by no means wealthy. I’m just an “average Joe,” with a pension from the Montgomery County Police Department, a retirement from the United States Army Reserves and a small tax consulting business in Gaithersburg.
I have lived and worked my entire life here in Montgomery County. My children are grown and out of the school system. I have watched as the state of Maryland has taxed and taxed and taxed everything that is possible.
That is why I have moved out of this state to Pennsylvania. My state taxes for Maryland this year would have been $3,233 but instead they are $820 to Pennsylvania.
