Damascus High School graduate Susan Hilton, was recently named Miss Montgomery County Farm Bureau at the organization’s annual picnic.

Susan, the daughter of Gary and Barbara Hilton, will represent the Montgomery County Farm Bureau in the Miss Maryland Agriculture Contest at this year’s Maryland State Fair.

Susan lives in Woodbine where her family grows vegetables sold to local restaurants and a roadside market. In high school she was an active member of the Damascus FFA Chapter and participated in the Montgomery County 4-H for 12 years.

She also serves as a member of the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair Junior Fair Board and is a Life Member of the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. Susan currently serves as the 2011-12 Damascus Community Fair Queen and is a reporter of the Maryland Jr. Ayrshire Association.

As a member of the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Susan, who graduated this year, volunteers at many fire department functions.

She plans to enroll in Montgomery College in the fall.
