Two Rockville students were named to the Christopher Newport University Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester.

They are Danielle Crowley, a sociology major, and Avery Friedman, who has no declared major. The college is in Newport News, Va.

To make the Dean’s List students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, have earned no final grade below C, and have earned a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale.

Jacob R. Cantor, of Derwood, a sophomore majoring in general engineering, was named to the Dean's List at Virginia Tech, in Blacksburg, Va.. for the spring 2012 semester.

To qualify for the list, students must attempt at least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn a 3.4 grade point average on a 4.0 scale during the semester.
