Lindsey Ann McDonald, a graduate of Damascus High School, recently was named assistant women's lacrosse coach at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C.

McDonald will join the school staff from Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa., where she currently serves as assistant coach. While at Mercyhurst the Germantown resident also was pursing her masterís degree in organizational leadership, which she received in May.

A 2009 graduate of McDaniel College in Westminster, McDonald helped lead Mercyhurst to a 13-6 overall record last season. She is involved in all aspects of the program, including on-field coaching, practice and game preparation and recruiting, as well as assisting in academic progress, strength and conditioning, scheduling and fundraising.

In addition, she serves as head coach of the 2014 team for the Rebels Lacrosse Club in Olney.
