Nathaniel Eugene Bright, 46, of the 20500 block of Strath Haven Drive in Montgomery Village was killed in a motorcycle accident late on July 12, according to Montgomery County police.

County police and fire and rescue personnel responded to East Village Avenue and Doubleland Road in Montgomery Village after report of a collision at 10:22 p.m. that night. They found Bright unconscious and a black and burgundy Honda CB 750 motorcycle in the roadway, police said.

Upon further investigation, police determined that Bright was riding a motorcycle and struck a tree while heading east on East Village Avenue as he approached Doubleland Road. He lost control of the motorcycle after hitting the curb of the center median, Montgomery County police Officer Janelle Smith said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.

Police are investigating if drugs, alcohol or excessive speed were a factor in the accident, Smith said.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 301-840-2435. Callers may remain anonymous.
