Prince George’s County police are looking for the suspect in an armed robbery who also used the victim’s credit card at a Capitol Heights convenience store.
About 1 a.m. Saturday, police say a man armed with a black handgun pressed his weapon into the back of a victim who was walking on Campus Way South near Harry S. Truman Drive in Upper Marlboro. The suspect took the victim’s wallet, cell phone and a green H&M bag after ordering him to lie down on the ground, a police release states.
Police sent a K-9 unit into the nearby Steeplechase Apartments where the suspect fled toward but were unable to find him, the release states. A surveillance photo at the Wawa at 1401 Hampton Park Blvd. shows a bearded man in an orange Polo T-shirt using the victim’s credit card the same day, the release states.
