Three Montgomery County students received internships with the YMCA of Greater Washington this summer as student leaders through the Bank of America Charitable Foundation.
Nicole Krawczewicz of Silver Spring, a 2012 graduate of Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington; Nina Lu of Rockville, a 2012 graduate of Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring; and Jacqueline Price of Derwood, a 2012 graduate of Col. Zadok Magruder High School in Rockville, were selected for the internships for their leaderships skills and community service.
Bank of America’s Student Leaders program recognizes high school juniors and seniors around the country who have demonstrated a commitment to community engagement and volunteerism. Each student receives a paid eight-week internship.
In addition to the internships, students will travel to Washington, D.C. from July 15 to July 20 to take part in a national Student Leadership Summit, where they will develop their leadership skills, network with other students from around the country and participate in a service project.
The program is part of Bank of America’s ongoing philanthropic commitment to providing community-minded students with access and exposure to critical resources that will bolster their work and life skills while also benefiting the community.
