Strathmore will host an evening of a capella featuring the talents of Cluster and the Afro Blue Vocal Band, beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Music Center, 5301 Tuckerman Lane, North Bethesda. Having first performed at Howard University, the 10-member Afro Blue Vocal Band made national news as a contestant on NBC’s “The Sing Off.” The five musicians of Cluster, renowned in Italy — met while studying at the Niccolò Paganini Conservatory of Music in Genoa, and, like Afro Blue, is no stranger to television, having competed in Italy’s version of “X Factor.” Swiss a cappella group The Glue will open.
