Maryellen Norris (Drager) McKoy, 72, of Monrovia, died June 30, 2012, at Kline Hospice House, near New Market.
Born June 16, 1940, in Worcester, Mass., to the late Paul and Ann Cosgrove Norris, she is survived by Thomas A. McKoy, her husband of 25 years. She was predeceased by a sister, Ann Wilbur.
She graduated in 1958 from Ursuline Academy in Bethesda, and was a 30-year employee of Grand Union grocery stores, which became Safeway, across Montgomery County.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Cheryl Ann Cook of Monrovia, Kathleen Super Prendergast and husband, David, of Inverness, Ill., and Matthew P. Drager of Monrovia; her siblings, Paul Norris, Pat Roth, Kathleen Hufnagel and Tom Norris of Montgomery County; her stepchildren, Kim, Brian and twins Janet and John McKoy; two grandchildren and eight stepgrandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Road, Libertytown, 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of mass at the church.
