Player of the YearDylan McDermott, junior, South Carroll: On a team that entered the playoffs with a losing record, McDermott ignited South Carroll's run to the state championship game with his vibrant play. The junior scored 50 goals on the year, including six points in the state semifinal and final.

Coach of the Year

Jim McKeever: A first-year coach, McKeever overcame a tumultuous start to the year -- filled with clashing personalities -- to lead Urbana to three wins in the final four regular-season games. The Hawks made the playoffs and downed Tuscarora, defending-state champion Linganore and Quince Orchard before bowing out to eventual state runner-up Westminster.
