Linda Gehlert
Coached Sherwood to Montgomery County’s first two state championships in girls basketball (1974 and 1975)
Jeanne Welch
Led Bladensburg to Prince George’s County’s first official state championships in girls basketball after enactment of Title IX (1975 and 1976)
Sandra Sprinkle
Coached DuVal to three girls basketball state championships (1977, 1980 and 1982)
Debbie Main Phebus
Coached Middletown field hockey team to five state championships, including four in a row (1984-87)
Cheryl FoutBecame first woman to coach a Frederick County team to a state title in girls basketball (Gov. Thomas Johnson, 1989)
Sharon Boyer
Coached Middletown girls cross-country team to six state titles in 10 seasons from 1991-2000
Amy WoodGuided Bethesda-Chevy Chase field hockey team to 10 state championships, including nine in a row from 1994-2002
Stephany Nolan
Coached Suitland to three state girls basketball championships in four seasons (1998, 1999, 2001)
Karen KartGuided Good Counsel volleyball team to six consecutive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference titles (2006-2011) and a 115-match winning streak that was snapped in 2011
