Montgomery County Public Libraries invite children of all ages to take part in summer reading programs now through August 11.

The themes for this summer’s programs are, “Read to Me,” for children from birth through Pre-K; “Dream Big,” for students in kindergarten through grade 6; and "Own the Night,” for teens.

Registration for all programs is available online at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/library.

The website also contains recommended reading lists by grade, information on tracking the number of books read, how to qualify for reading certificates, and summer activities at library branches.

All special programs are funded by the Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, Inc. and by local Friends of the Library chapters.

The group also has summer reading T-shirts on sale.
