A doctor’s office specializing in chronic pain and spinal conditions will be opening in Mount Airy this month.

Pain and Spine Specialists of Maryland, at 2702 Back Acre Circle, Suite 290B, will open June 11. The office emphasizes a patient focused doctors experience and will feature a patient liaison to guide individual patients and their families through the medical care process at the office.

“We are trying to create a different type of office setting,” said Dr. Sudhir Rao, founder of Pain and Spine Specialists of Maryland, who is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. “It’s frustrating waiting for [doctors appointments] and going through phone trees. I think every patient should be treated uniquely and have easy access to their provider.”
