Player of the Year

Kylor Bellistri: A full-bodied athlete with a blistering shot, Bellistri finished second in the Interstate Athletic Conference in goals with 40 en route to leading the Bulldogs to their first 5-0 IAC season in school history. Also the quarterback on the football team, Bellistri plans to attend Brown next season.

Coach of the Year

Darren Murray, Springbrook: After a four-win campaign in 2011, Murray helped transform Springbrook into a contender. The Blue Devils finished second in the Montgomery 4A East league to Sherwood with a record of 11-4 (4-1). Working with many players who enter high school with no lacrosse experience, Murray led the program to its first bye in the MPSSAA state playoffs.

Bullis, Senior, Attack

Recorded a season-high eight points (5 goals, 3 assists) on March 22 against W.T. Woodson.

Louis DubickWinston Churchill, Freshman, Attack

Standout freshman led Montgomery County in points (98) with 50 goals and 48 assists.

Curt BrooksThomas S. Wootton, Senior, Defense

Georgetown-bound defender dominated county's best attackers and showed scoring ability as well.

Nick FieldsBullis, Junior, Defense

Long, athletic defender shut down some of the IAC's best. Already verballed to Johns Hopkins.

Liam GiblinGeorgetown Prep, Senior, Attack

Finished as Prep's fifth-leading scorer alltime with 166 points (55 goals, 111 assists). Bound for Johns Hopkins.

Marty HeynQuince Orchard, Senior, Defense

One of the county's most solid defenders, Heyn grabbed 54 ground balls and averaged four takeaways per game.

Alex JoyceLandon, Senior, Goalkeeper

Made 130 saves in helping Landon to the IAC championship. Headed to Georgetown next year.

Matt LeonardWinston Churchill, Junior, Attack

Scored 51 goals and assisted 20 more as primary attack option on loaded Bulldogs offense.

Calum McClellandRichard Montgomery, Senior, Long Stick Midfielder/Faceoff

Headed for Brown next year, the do-it-all LSM won 75 percent of his faceoffs, scored 30 goals and scooped up 150 ground balls.

Cameron MoshyediWinston Churchill, Senior, Midfield

Recovered from a wrist injury to turn in stellar senior year. Scored 31 goals, assisted 21 more. Headed to Villanova.
