Poolesville is hosting its First Annual Skate Contest at the Poolesville Skate Park on Saturday.

Registration starts at 8:30 a.m.; the event starts at 10 a.m. and will go until 5:30 p.m.

Contestants will be judged on one-minute runs and group skates in five categories, ages 10 and under, 11 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 and over, and women’s.

Helmets are required, and there are plenty of prizes to be had.
