“An Evening with the Arts — A Benefit for the Children’s Inn at NIH” will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Bumper Car Pavillion at Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Blvd.

Proceeds will benefit The Children’s Inn, a nonprofit that provides a place where families can stay free of charge while children receive treatment at the National Institutes of Health. It costs The Inn about $141 each night to house a family.

The night will feature five artists painting to the live jazz music of The Washington Conservatory of Music. Artists J. Jordan Bruns, resident artist at Glen Echo Park, Walter Bartman, Barbara Gruber, Glen Kessler and Lida Stifel will render their expressions of the performance in paint. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase the original artworks created that evening through a silent auction.

Tickets are $40. For information, go to www.niharts.com. To purchase tickets, go to www.niharts.com/events/an-evening-with-the-arts-3/.
