The following is a summary of incidents in Bethesda to which Montgomery County police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.

2nd DistrictResidential burglary

* 4300 block of Chestnut Street, Bethesda, between May 16 and May 17. Two bicycles were taken from an open garage.

* 8000 block of Newdale Road, Bethesda, 1 p.m. May 18. Unknown means of entry, unknown whether anything was taken.

* 5300 block of Yorktown Road, Bethesda, between 11 and 11:30 a.m. May 19. Unforced entry, property taken.

Theft* On May 21 at 3:30 a.m. from a construction site at Symphony Forest Lane and Symphony Park Drive, Rockville. The suspects are two black males, 23-24.

Vehicle larceny* On May 22 in the 11000 block of Newport Mill Road, Kensington. Attempted theft from vehicle.

* On May 19 between midnight and 7 a.m. in the 11120 block of Arroyo Drive, Rockville. Six thefts. Unknown entry, cash taken.

* Between May 16 and May 17 in the 22000 block of Ross Road, Silver Spring. Theft from parking lot.

* On May 18 between 3 and 7 p.m. in the 1900 block of East West Highway, Silver Spring. Theft from parking lot.
