Students from Fourth Presbyterian School in Potomac raised more than $6,000 for the scholarship program of the Cornerstone School of Washington, D.C., a K-8 Christian school in Southeast Washington, at the fourth annual Fourth School Run on April 27.

Students raised money by obtaining sponsors for each lap they ran.

Some Cornerstone students joined the run for the first time this year.

Fourth School connected with Cornerstone as part of a pen pal program between their first-grade classes, a program initiated by Fourth’s first-grade teacher, Dede Winkfield.
