A live music series kicks off at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg May 30.

The free jazz show will feature Chris Vadala, formerly with Chuck Mangione, and the Rick Whitehead Trio.

The series is held at the patio by McGowan Hall and continues every Wednesday from 8 -10 p.m. in June and July, rain or shine. There is no show on July 4.

In the event of inclement weather, the music is moved inside. The Mount Cafe will also be open for refreshments.

People are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.
