The city of Seat Pleasant's public works department will be doing citywide clean ups in Wards 3 and 4 on Saturday and in Ward 5 on June 2. Between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. on both days public works employees will help remove no more than one large item such as a refrigerator or sofa, no more than two chairs and two tires.

Residents must remove Freon from their refrigerators and leave the shelves in if they are trying to get rid of them. Overall, public works employees will be getting rid of residents' bulk trash and abandoned vehicles, cut high grass in city lots and board up vacant buildings.

Public works will not remove bricks, car parts, dry wall, paint, roofing materials and yard clippings. For more information call 301-336-2600.
