A Fort Washington resident has graduated from Auburn University Montgomery with a Master of Science in Justice and Public Safety.

Monica Bates, the daughter of Emory and Dorothy Bates, also of Fort Washington, graduated from the Montgomery, Ala. university on May 12.

During her education, she had a concentration in legal studies and was also inducted into the academic honor society Phi Kappa Phi.
