Police say a man is in the hospital after he was stabbed at about 3 a.m. Thursday at the Friendship Heights Metro station.
Phillip Enyeazyi, 53, stabbed a 24-year-old man during a conflict on Wisconsin Avenue in Chevy Chase, said Capt. Paul Starks, a spokesman for Montgomery County police.
The man was stabbed in the chest and suffered a collapsed lung, Starks said. The man is in stable condition at Suburban Hospital, police said.
Enyeazyi was found shortly after by the Metropolitan Police Department at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Van Ness Street in Washington, D.C., three blocks away from the incident, Starks said.
Enyeazyi is in police custody in the District pending a warrant for his arrest.
