The Frederick County Health Department is offering classes to help smokers kick the habit.
The “Stop Smoking for Life” hour-long class is free. Classes run from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. May 22 to June 26, in room 2-139 at the Frederick County Health Department, 350 Monteveue Lane, Frederick.
A morning session will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. May 24 to June 28.
Free nicotine patches and gum will be available for class participants with doctor’s permission.
The Maryland Tobacco Quitline also will be available for those attending the class. The hotline number is 800-784-8669.
