Capitol Heights resident Melanie Mavins, a student at Washington College, choreographed and performed in the Chestertown school’s recent Spring Dance Concert.

Mavins, a graduate of Greenbelt’s Eleanor Roosevelt High School, is majoring in biology and is also studying for minors in chemistry, dance and justice, law and society.

Mavins is scheduled to graduate Washington College in 2013.
