A man driving a moped in Landover has died after veering off a roadway and suffering from an unknown medical emergency, according to Prince George’s County police.

Around 5:27 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Sheriff Road and Cabin Branch Drive, police received a call from a passerby who noticed a man lying on the ground on the side of the road, said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a county police spokesman.

“A man was traveling on a moped, and someone had noticed that he fell over,” Johnson said. “Paramedics responded to the scene, and he passed away at a local hospital.”

The man has been identified as Deander Holliday, 43, though his address is currently unknown, Johnson said.

Johnson said police believe he was suffering from a medical emergency when he veered off the roadway, but are not sure what the condition was specifically.
