Myersville has begun removing yard waste for town residents.

The program began in April and replaces a previous program in which yard waste was collected at the Old Town Hall parking lot.

Yard waste will be collected through November.

Grass and leaves must be in biodegradable bags, and bags may not contain household trash. Bags can be purchased at local hardware stores.

Branches must be tied in bundles no longer than three feet long, and branches can’t be more than three inches in diameter.

Larger yard waste must be taken to the Reichs Ford Landfill.
