A motorcycle driver was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after colliding with a pick-up truck in Kettering, according to Maryland State Police.
Around 3:05 p.m., a 70-year-old man driving a Chevrolet S-10 pick-up truck was making a right turn onto Watkins Park Drive from Central Avenue when a man, 19, driving his motorcycle on the right shoulder lane of Central Avenue collided with the front end of the truck, police said.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a hospital; there was no update on his condition as of Monday, state police said.
There was no information in the police report about if the pick-up truck driver also was hospitalized, police said.
Police said the driver of the motorcycle received a citation, but specifics were not available from the state police Forestville Barrack on Monday or from online Prince George's County District Court records.
