Artwork in the College of Southern Maryland’s annual Student Juried Show was on display at CSM’s Tony Hungerford Memorial Art Gallery in the Fine Arts Center on the La Plata campus. Students presented their work during a gallery talk, reception and awards presentation on April 17. Award winners include, from left, third place, Marion Basilio for his black-and-white photo, “The Fighter”; first place, Denise Calisti for her stoneware piece, “Sea Monster”; honorable mention, Kristyn Berry for her white stoneware piece, “The Artist”; honorable mention, John-Michael Carlin for his “Untitled” mixed media piece; second place, Victoria Yuen for her sketch in pencil, “Still Bottles”; and honorable mention, Ashley Saldana for her black-and-white photo, “The Firefly.” The Student Juried Show provides the opportunity to support emerging talent.
