Staff writerTwo Lusby men were issued criminal summonses Wednesday charging them in connection with an April 27 incident where a homemade device exploded and injured another man.

Robert John Bysheim, 23, and Charles Edward Fabritz, 27, both of Lusby, were each charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of manufacturing and possessing a man-made destructive device.

According to a press release, at about 7:51 p.m. April 27, EMS staff responded to a Dry Creek Court home in Lusby in reference to a homemade explosive launching device detonating and injuring a 23-year-old manís hand.

The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal was notified by the Calvert County Control Center, and officials arrived on scene at about 8:30 p.m. Bysheim was taken to Calvert Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Attempts to contact Bysheim and Fabritz were not successful as of press time.
