A Washington, D.C., teen was arrested on a charge of possession with intent to distribute drugs after officers found 60 baggies of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop early on the morning of May 1 on Indian Head Highway in Indian Head, police reported.

Officers were working a radar assignment in the 6100 block of the highway when at 2:18 a.m. a car sped past them going 20 miles faster than the posted speed limit.

The officers pulled the car over and smelled marijunana when they got to the car.

They found the 60 baggies and drug paraphernalia in the car.

Officer V. Warker arrested the driver, Philip Maurice Mitchell, 18, who was released on his recognizance.
