Organizers were shocked at the number of people who signed up to sell off their household items, clothes, toys and hardware at the first Old Town Laurel Yard Sale Crawl, which will be held Saturday.

“We thought we might get 10 to 12 families, but an astonishing 31 families have signed up,” said Karen Lubieniecki.

The yard sales will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at homes throughout Laurel’s historic district. Event organizers will have printed maps available the day of the sale.
