Allen Leonard Morgan, 49, previously of Hollywood, was jailed Friday without bond on charging papers alleging he committed two burglaries earlier last week at a Morganza Turner Road address.

Morgan stole a smoked ham, chain saw, shotgun and shotgun shells owned by Leonard Edward Copsey Sr., whose son Richard Copsey found the suspect’s bicycle on the property and the suspect lying in the grass with the ham missing from a smokehouse, according to a statement of probable cause filed by St. Mary’s sheriff’s deputy William Bankhead. The suspect was detained and arrested at the scene.

Charging papers allege that Morgan also illegally entered an unoccupied house off Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville.
