Prince George’s police are seeking a man dressed in a security uniform who is suspected of robbing a Wells Fargo bank Wednesday in District Heights.
Around 10:23 a.m., county police were notified of the robbery in the 5800 block of Silver Hill Road, involving an unidentified man wearing a black, brimmed hat, dark glasses and a uniform shirt for Knight Protective Service, Inc., a private security company in Lanham. Police say the man entered the bank and demanded an undisclosed amount of money.
Cpl. Mike Rodriguez, a county police spokesman, said he did not know if the man was armed or exactly what took place inside the bank. Calls to Knight Protective Service were not returned Friday morning.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to call Crime Solvers at 866-411-8477.
A reward of up to $1,000 is also being offered for a tip that leads to an arrest and indictment.
