Prince George’s police are conducting a death investigation after a body was found floating in the Potomac River Tuesday.

A boater near the National Harbor first spotted the body floating in the river near the Woodrow Wilson Bridge around 2:15 p.m., said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a county police spokesman.

No obvious signs of trauma were found on the unidentified male’s body and further county police investigation is pending a review from the chief medical examiner, Johnson said.

Johnson said he was unsure if the unknown male was an adult or juvenile.
