Prince George’s police have located a vehicle that was carjacked Tuesday, with the 5-month-old baby inside found unharmed, in Capitol Heights.

Cpl. Evan Baxter, a county police spokesman, said police discovered the white 2007 Acura MDX sport utility vehicle at Rail Street and Arcadia Avenue in Capitol Heights around 8:20 a.m.

Officer Araz Alali, a Metropolitan Police Department spokesman, said police are now seeking the suspect responsible for the carjacking, and the incident remains under investigation.

Around 7:30 a.m., police received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 3800 block of Suitland Road in Southeast Washington, D.C., at which point an Amber Alert was issued for the baby.

Police had said the suspect, driving the stolen Acura with Oklahoma tags, was traveling in the direction of Prince George’s County.
