Flowers 58, Parkdale 51

Flowers is still perched atop the County 4A League standings, but the Jaguars had a bit of a close call against a Parkdale team at the bottom of the heap. Flowers seemingly had the game under control with a 35-17 halftime lead, but the Panthers outscored the Jaguars 23-6 in the third quarter and trailed by just one point heading to the fourth period. Flowers outscored Parkdale 17-11 in those final eight minutes to earn the victory. Kofi Andoh and David Barnes each had 17 points as Flowers improved to 11-3 overall and 11-1 in the league. Joshua Howard had 13 points and Charles Cooley had 12 for Parkdale (2-14, 1-11).

Suitland 80, Oxon Hill 59

Suitland had a dominating performance on the boards, amassing 57 rebounds, including 17 by Daquan Doyle. Roddy Peters had 24 points and six rebounds, Daquan Page added 22 points and 10 rebounds and Dwayne Clinton had 11 points as the Rams improved to 10-4 overall and 8-4 in the County 4A League. Alex Long had 14 points to lead Oxon Hill (5-10, 5-7), while Ronnie Ingram had 11 points and Gary Stewart had 10.

Wise 65, Northwestern 51

The game was tied 9-9 at the end of the first quarter, but Wise outscored Northwestern 34-12 over the next two periods. Keith Shivers had 18 points and six rebounds, Wayne Langston had 17 points and 12 rebounds and Chris Thompson had 15 points for the Pumas (9-6 overall, 7-5 County 4A). Khalid Nance had 17 points and Chris Moore had 12 to lead Northwestern (3-12, 2-10).

Bladensburg 75, High Point 63

Michael Jones and Elijah Smith each had 12 points and Rhaman Kamara added 15 as Bladensburg improved to 5-10 overall and 5-7 in the 3A/2A/1A League. Bilal Jackson had 24 points and Robert Tyler had 12 to lead High Point (5-10, 4-8).

Bowie 75, Laurel 73 (OT)

Laurel outscored Bowie 26-17 in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 65-65 and force overtime. Bowie outscored Laurel 10-8 in the extra session to gain the victory and improve to 10-5 overall and 8-4 in the County 4A League. Jalen Robinson had 18 points and 11 rebounds and Jared Gray had 12 points for Bowie. Adrian Rousseau had 17 points and Brandon Roberson had 14 for Laurel (2-12, 2-10).

Gwynn Park 67, Crossland 38

Gwynn Park allowed Crossland to score just six points in the first half and cruised to the win, improving to 12-4 overall and 11-1 in the County 3A/2A/1A League. Marcel Boyd had 16 points and 11 rebounds, Jalen Harris had 14 points and five rebounds and Jarvis Hawkins had 10 points and six rebounds to lead Gwynn Park. Rob Moore had 21 points for Crossland (6-9, 3-8).

Forestville 79, Surrattsville 75 (OT)

Forestville's Juwan Cole had a season-high 41 points to lead the Knights to the overtime victory. His performance included five 3-pointers, and he hit 20 of 22 from the foul line. Joe Jackson added 15 points for Forestville (6-10 overall, 4-8 3A/2A/1A League). Marquis Robinson had 12 points, Deshawn Williams had 17 and Evonte Hill had 12 for Surrattsville (4-11, 2-10).

Potomac 84, Central 82

Valshawn Wallace had 24 points, Dion Wiley added 18 and Ramone Saunders had 17 to lead Potomac (11-5 overall, 9-3 3A/2A/1A League). Phillip Poteat had 21 points, Calvin Lovitt had 19, Dequan Smith had 15 and Michael Hooks had 12 for Central (6-7, 5-6).

Pallotti 72, St. Paul's 68

St. Paul's outscored Pallotti 17-12 in the fourth quarter but the Panthers held on for the win to improve to 16-6 overall and 10-2 in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference. Marcus Bright led Pallotti with 20 points and five rebounds. Marquis Reed had 13 points and Will Lyle added 12.

Grace Brethren 75, McLean School 65

The Eagles improved to 20-2 overall and 11-1 in the Potomac Valley Athletic Conference despite being outscored 44-36 in the second half. Harry Howerton led Grace Brethren with 27 points, including a 12 of 17 performance at the foul line. As a team the Eagles were 21 of 29 at the line. . Desmond Brogsdale had 18 points and Christian Locke added 15 for Grace Brethren. Jordan Young led McLean (10-4, 8-4) with 19 points.

Gonzaga 67, McNamara 61

McNamara gave one of the nation's top teams a tough battle on Friday night in Washington, D.C. The Mustangs trailed by only one point at halftime before Gonzaga outscored them 18-13 in the third quarter. The teams each had 16 points in the fourth period. Stephan Jiggetts and Jerron Martin each had 12 points and Kevin Robbins added 10 points and seven rebounds for McNamara (10-12 overall, 5-7 in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference. Kris Jenkins had 19 points and Charles Glover added 15 for Gonzaga (19-0, 8-0), which is No. 4 in this week's USA Today Super 25 national rankings.

Riverdale Baptist 51, National Christian 48

Riverdale Baptist won its 17th consecutive game and improved to 23-2, led by 17 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots from Milan Durant. The Crusaders came from behind in the fourth quarter to preserve their winning steak, as they outscored National Christian 14-6. Zacarry Douglass had 14 points and 26 rebounds and Darreontae Moore had 13 points and seven rebounds to lead National Christian (11-7).
